I forgot how nice Apple's icons were - thanks for packaging.
Many of the icons in this set are the property of Appe, Microsoft, or other companies. You cannot take other peoples proprietary artwork and release it under the GPL.
Sorry about that. I saw the "GPL" somewhere in the "MacUltimate Leopard" icon set So I thought it was GPL. I'm new to this and don't know much about licenses. So, is this ilegal to use these icons? I'll try to remove that "GPL" thing. Thanks for warning.
This is one of those grey areas. Technically it's copyright violation,, but it's so prevalent, that it's not likely to be enforced.
I had to register just to say at least once to you and other posts like yours: You are wrong. Noone can Copyright or Trademark "Look and Feel" because Look and Feel are Uncopyrightable. This is why Apple and Xerox lost their case against Microsoft when MSWindows came out. Hell Linux wouldn't even be used on more than a dozen university machines right now if making things look like other things were illegal... It's also why there are so many Knockoffs and Bootleg versions of products out there (fashion, etc) which are not illegal, hence people sell and other people fall for them. (There would also be no satire and parodies in movies/music/art if making things seem like other things were illegal) You are not allowed by law to Reverse-Engineer or disassemble the code which displays or portrays the items in question, but a hand-made-from-scratch-separately version that emulates what the original material looks like is fully legal content. Short Version: Don't worry if you made it yourself, but you can't claim it's your own concept in court is all. Thanks man for that. Actually, that's a very complicated world.
